What is it that you do?
I just started a new startup to elevate angel investing in Southeast Asia. AngelCentral’s goal is to build a competent and effective angel community in Southeast Asia.
What is the most surprising thing about you that most people don’t know?
I don’t like excitements…
What’s a typical day like in your life?
I get up around 730am, send my youngest to kindergarten, then go for breakfast with my husband.
Back around 930am, then my “work” day starts, either to EntrepreneurFirst or to AngelCentral. Some afternoons I would have coffees with startups outside of EF / AC work.
What’s the hardest thing you have had to deal with in your life?
Coming to terms with what my father is about, and what I have decided to do about that as a result.
What motivates you to keep going when the going gets tough?
Everything can be solved, just a matter of how.
How do you relax when you’re not working?
Casual gaming, reading trashy books that make me laugh, or watching crime dramas.
What tools do you use that are indispensable? What can you not live without?
My calendar… it runs my life.
What books/documentaries would you recommend for someone who’d like to go into your field?
How to Invest in Technology Startups by Jason Calacanis.
What project are you working on at the moment?
AngelCentral + a personal quest to find more women investors to support more women founders
What’s your all-time favourite song?
“Love me” by Colin Raye
If you could give advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Ignore the small voices in your head, and love more.
